The Federal Golf Club

The Federal Golf Club, Red Hill ACT

The Federal Golf Club is one of Canberra’s premier golf courses. People venture from all over the region to play on the well-maintained fairways and greens. The facility also contains a lovely clubhouse where golfers can unwind and grab some food after a long day on the course.

Federal Amateur Open Championship

This golf course has an intriguing claim to fame as the host of the annual Federal Amateur Open Championship. This tournament attracts some of the country’s best young golf talent. Notable names such as Jason Day, Andrew Martin, Matt Jager, and Victor Dubuisson have all placed in this tournament in the last fifteen years. In addition to this tournament, the course has also hosted several other notable tournaments in its storied history.

Weddings and Events

The Federal Golf Club has also made quite a name for themselves in the wedding and special event circuit. They take bookings for everything from corporate meetings to private parties. The facility offers ample free parking, flexible catering options, and much more. The proximity of the club to the Parliament House and central business district makes it a popular choice for many different types of events.

Visitor Golfing

Visiting golfers are welcome at the Federal Golf Club. The course is open to guests during social play hours, but the club highly recommends that interested players book a time through the Pro-Shop. In a typical week, there is at least some time for social play each day, so it likely won’t be too difficult to find a time that works for your schedule. There are also daily seasonal specials that members and visitors can take advantage of to get the best deal.

If golf isn’t really your thing, but you still want to do something active, you must visit Mount Mugga Mugga Nature Reserve.
